What’s In Your Cup: Social Media for Business

What Does a Yoga Instructor, Alpaca Farmer, Wellness Provider and Text Specialist have in common?

They all spent their Monday morning at The Coffee House finding out “What’s In Their Cups?” This is the second class I am teaching to educate local business about using social media tools.

Small business owners already have their plates full being owners, creators, marketers , accountants, problem solvers…that adding another task feels daunting.

I showed participants how to use their current activities in a new way; NOT creating new materials just for social media.

We talked about their unique clients and how each social media platform fits a certain personality type. With over 300 platforms you can not (AND SHOULD NOT) try and be all places for all people.

I challenged them all to create their ABOUT page and explained that to be transparent you should include your past, present and future (which I really prefer to call goals or DREAMS!)

I will leave you with the quote I shared that is my motto for this year:

“Imperfect action trumps a perfect thought.” Kym Lamb
